Her breakout role came as Phyllis Lindstrom on 'The Mary Tyler Moore Show,' which led to her own spin-off series 'Phyllis.' Leachman won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role in 'The Last Picture Show' (1971) and accumulated eight Emmy Awards throughout her career, making her one of the most decorated actresses in television history. She appeared in numerous films including 'Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid,' 'Mel Brooks' films, and 'The Iron Giant.'
