Charmayne James

Charmayne James (born July 10, 1966) is an American professional barrel racer and rodeo champion who has become one of the most decorated athletes in Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) history. Born in Española, New Mexico, James began her rodeo career in the 1980s and quickly established herself as a dominant force in barrel racing, one of the most popular women's rodeo events. She won the PRCA World Championship in barrel racing a record six times and earned the Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) World Championship multiple times throughout her career. James competed at the highest levels of professional rodeo for several decades, earning substantial prize money and numerous accolades.
