Carson Wentz
NFL quarterback, 2nd overall pick in 2016 Draft
Carson James Wentz (born December 30, 1992) is an American professional football quarterback who was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles as the second overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. Born in Bismarck, North Dakota, Wentz played college football at North Dakota State University, where he impressed scouts with his arm strength, mobility, and leadership. During his first season in Philadelphia, Wentz showed tremendous promise, demonstrating the skills necessary to be a franchise quarterback. However, his career has been marked by significant injuries, including a torn anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in 2017 that sidelined him during a crucial stretch. Despite the setbacks, Wentz has continued his NFL career, playing for the Indianapolis Colts, Chicago Bears, and Cleveland Browns. He represents the modern era of athletic quarterbacks who combine passing ability with dual-threat capability. Wentz's career trajectory, while not without challenges, demonstrates the pressures and injuries that professional athletes endure, and he remains an active player in the NFL.
