Carmelo Anthony
NBA scoring legend, 10-time All-Star, Olympic gold medalist
Carmelo Kyam Anthony (born May 29, 1984) is an American professional basketball player widely considered one of the most prolific scorers in NBA history. Playing primarily as a small forward and power forward, Anthony spent 19 seasons in the NBA with the Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers, and Los Angeles Lakers. Standing 6'7", he was known for his deadly mid-range shot, basketball IQ, and ability to score from anywhere on the court. Anthony was an 10-time NBA All-Star and led the Denver Nuggets to the Western Conference Finals in 2009. He won Olympic gold medals with Team USA at the 2012 London Olympics and 2016 Rio Olympics. Though he never won an NBA championship as the primary star, his career scoring average of 24.0 points per game and 33,955 total points rank among the all-time greats. His impact on basketball extended beyond statistics—he became a cultural icon and mentor to younger players, and his longevity in professional sports demonstrated remarkable dedication to the game.
