Carl Reiner

Carl Reiner (March 20, 1922 – June 29, 2020) was an American actor, director, screenwriter, comedian, and entertainment legend whose career spanned seven decades. Born in New York, Reiner began as a stage actor and comedian before breaking into television as a writer and performer on "Your Show of Shows." He achieved breakthrough success co-creating and performing in "The Dick Van Dyke Show" (1963–1966), considered one of the greatest television comedies ever made. Reiner's creative partnership with filmmaker Mel Brooks produced iconic films including "The Producers," "Young Frankenstein," and "Blazing Saddles," which revolutionized comedy cinema. Beyond his work with Brooks, Reiner directed numerous successful films and continued acting throughout his life.
