Candace Parker

Candace Parker (born April 19, 1986) is an American professional basketball player and two-time Olympic gold medalist. She is widely considered one of the greatest female basketball players of all time. Parker played college basketball at the University of Tennessee under legendary coach Pat Summitt, where she led the Lady Volunteers to back-to-back national championships in 2007 and 2008, winning the Naismith College Player of the Year Award both years. In 2008, she became the first woman to dunk in an NCAA tournament game. In the WNBA, Parker was drafted first overall by the Los Angeles Sparks in 2008 and went on to win two championships (2016 and 2020), multiple MVP awards, and numerous All-Star selections. She has represented the United States at three Olympic Games (2008, 2012, 2016), winning gold medals and establishing herself as a global ambassador for women's basketball.
