Cam'ron, born Cameron Giles on February 4, 1976, in the Bronx and raised in Harlem, New York, is an influential rapper and hip-hop icon who became one of the defining voices of 2000s New York rap. He co-founded the Diplomats (Dipset), a crew that became synonymous with flashy, street-smart rap culture during the mid-2000s. His debut album 'Confessions of Fire' (1998) established him as a rising talent, but it was 'Purple Haze' (2004) that cemented his legacy, featuring the platinum hit 'Oh Boy' with Juelz Santana. Known for his distinctive raspy delivery, clever wordplay, and unapologetic street narratives, Cam'ron became famous for his eccentric fashion sense, particularly his signature pink Dipset color coordination. Beyond music, he expanded into television production and reality TV, starring in the reality series about Dipset.
