Buena Vista Social Club

Buena Vista Social Club is not a single person but a collective of Cuban musicians who became a global phenomenon in the 1990s. The group, assembled by American guitarist Ry Cooder and Cuban musician Juan de Marcos González, revived traditional Cuban music styles including son, mambo, and bolero that had faded from prominence during the decades following the Cuban Revolution.
