Thinking about the name
Bernie
Germanic origin
“A warm, accessible diminutive of Bernard, widely recognized as both a nickname and standalone name. The shortened form loses none of the strength in its Germanic roots while gaining approachability and friendly energy. It became particularly iconic through political and cultural figures, making it feel both timeless and contemporary.”
