Amit Shah

Amit Lal Shah (born March 13, 1964) is an influential Indian politician and prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who has served as India's Minister of Home Affairs since 2019. Known for his strategic political acumen and organizational skills, Shah is considered one of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's closest and most trusted advisors. Born in Gujarat, he rose through the ranks of the BJP through decades of dedicated political work, eventually becoming the party's National President from 2014 to 2020—a period during which the BJP achieved unprecedented electoral success.
