Almena Lomax

Almena Lomax (1913-1993) was a pioneering African American journalist, radio personality, and civil rights activist whose career spanned several decades in Los Angeles. She was one of the first Black women to establish herself as a significant media voice, working as a journalist and radio commentator at a time when opportunities for African American women in mainstream media were severely limited.
