Al Green

Albert Leornel Greene (born April 13, 1946) is an American soul singer, songwriter, and record producer who rose to prominence in the early 1970s. Born in Forrest City, Arkansas, Green developed his distinctive smooth, emotional vocal style that would define an era of soul music. His partnership with producer Willie Mitchell at Hi Records resulted in a string of hits including 'Let's Stay Together' (1971), 'Tired of Being Alone' (1971), 'I'm Still in Love with You' (1972), and 'Here I Am (Come and Take Me)' (1973).
