Adeline Virginia Woolf

Adeline Virginia Stephen Woolf (January 25, 1882 – March 28, 1941) was an English writer, modernist pioneer, and one of the most significant literary figures of the twentieth century. Born into an intellectually prominent family, Virginia Woolf (as she is commonly known) grew up in a household that fostered literary and artistic pursuits, though her education was largely self-directed through her father's extensive library. She emerged as a central figure of the Bloomsbury Group, a circle of influential intellectuals, artists, and writers in early 20th-century London.
