Adam Lambert
Lead vocalist of Queen, solo artist and performer
Adam Mitchel Lambert (born January 29, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter, and actor who achieved prominence as the touring and later permanent lead vocalist for the legendary rock band Queen. Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, Lambert demonstrated musical talent from an early age and pursued performance and music production at California State University. He gained initial fame as a solo artist with his debut album For Your Entertainment in 2009, which featured the hit single "Whataya Want from Me." However, he is perhaps best known internationally as the voice of Queen, joining the surviving members Brian May and Roger Taylor in 2011 to perform the band's iconic catalog for audiences worldwide. Lambert's tenure with Queen has been transformative for both his career and the band's legacy, allowing new generations to experience their music live while maintaining respect for Freddie Mercury's unparalleled legacy. His powerful vocal range, theatrical stage presence, and emotional connection to the material have earned him critical acclaim. Beyond Queen, Lambert maintains a solo career and has appeared in television and film projects, establishing himself as a multifaceted entertainer.

Thinking about the name
Lambert
Germanic origin
“Derived from Germanic roots meaning 'bright land' (lant- 'land' + -bert 'bright'), Lambert evokes pastoral warmth and illumination. Popular across medieval Europe, the name carries both accessible friendliness and classical substance, with a scholarly, slightly old-fashioned charm.”
